I like that the vacuum seal area is close to edge of machine so you don't waste bag material. I also liked being able to do consecutive seals without having to stop and wait. It’s sped up the process significantly. Needs removable wet drain tray. You have to blot the liquid out and food saver brand has removable tray which is more convenient and sanitary. Especially since this liquid tends to be juice around meat.

My family and I have always bought our meat in bulk and just lut it in a ziplock bag and throw it in the freezer. A month later the meat was freezer burnt. My wife said to find a vacuum sealer. I did some reading up and there were tons of great reviews for this product and was very affordable. After 30Lbs of beef and 20lbs of chicken i will never give this product up. My wife calls it my new favorite toy.

I really like this model. It was a learning curve for me. Things like shredded zucchini should not be vacuum sealed, but can be sealed. Meat--perfect vacuum seal! Buy meat on sale in large packages and vacuum seal portions. Great job of vacuum sealing my fresh garden beans to freeze! There are more things this can do, but I am just getting started!

I was looking for an inexpensive vacuum sealer for packaging meats for sous vide. I didn't need anything fancy, just something that was easy to use and inexpensive. This fit the bill perfect. It's simple to use (a friend has one that uses bags on a roller that's a bit easier. but this is quite simple) and the seals very well. I've did a batch of pork chops and chicken breasts after sealing them in a couple of different styles of bags and there was no leakage in any of them. that's all I asked for. A+

I bake a lot and sometimes am leftover with chocolate morsels (chocolate chips). Instead of putting them in a ziplock bag, I can vacuum seal them now for more assured freshness. I tested this with almonds inside one of the bags that was provided with this vacuum sealer. I included pictures to show both sizes. It suctions great and seals just as it should. This is something I won’t regret getting!
