I have been looking for a ceramic burr coffee grinder because they grind every bean to the same size so i can get consistent flavor. The more common blade grinders give me a mix from dust to chunks, so some of the grind gets over-extracted and some gets less-extracted, and the flow through the filter chamber can create flow channels that hardly extract at all. So a blade grinder is different every time so the flavor is different every time.

Although his does make a tasty cup of coffee, the grinder takes quite a while and the drip is very time consuming. Also the case broke after four uses and the vendor is not able to fix or replace. If you have a lot of time in the morning, this could be a good option, but I am not sure of the long term quality of the item given my experience.

I travel for work and despise the hotel coffees (I roast my own beans). I was using an AeroPress and a hand grinder, but was looking to save space, and to be honest, didn't enjoy having to do an early morning workout to grind the beans. This solves the problem. Grinder is quieter than expected and takes almost the same amount of time as hand cranking, but I can be doing other times during that time. Auto shut off feature works as expected. Able to adjust grind size as needed. USB charging means I don't need to carry additional charging equipment in case I will be gone more than a week, or want to enjoy a 2nd cup some days. USB cable is included (nice touch). Filter legs has a step that rests just inside the cup so the filter won't shift during pour. Semi-rigid carrying case offers a reasonable amount of shock protection.

If youre tired of hotel room pod coffee, this thing is awesome. Its a burr grinder brewer, and insulated mug all in one. It is not FAST, but if you grind your beans while doing something else (like.showering), the rest is pretty easy. You do need access to hot water, but most hotels have a microwave these days.
